Lawyers.com is a comprehensive online platform that caters to individuals in need of legal information, advice, and professional connections. It provides numerous legal resources and simplifies the process of finding the appropriate legal help by offering in-depth profiles of attorneys and the services they provide.
The first step in this project was to conduct a thorough audit of the existing templates and catalog the UI elements, unraveling complexities within primary use cases. This included identifying the components that were currently being used, as well as the standards that were in place for their use. Identifying and prioritizing components for common use cases laid the groundwork for designing new screens.
Design System Foundation
The system foundation started with a strategic grid and a finely tuned spacing system. A thoughtful color library and typography formed a cohesive design style. This detailed foundation ensures every pixel contributes to a harmonious design across the platform.
Template Library
Template library provided a collection of all page templates and their components. It is the foundation for design uniformity and operational efficiency across the platform.
Component Library
The library of reusable components has made it much easier for designers and developers to make changes and create new functions, and the clear standards have helped to improve communication and collaboration.
